Every summer, Atlanta Youth Wind Symphony alumni, friends and other community members gather together for two weeks of celebratory music-making, each culminating with a free concert for the Atlanta community.

These thrilling, Sousa-style, outdoor concerts include favorites from the wind band repertoire, classical transcriptions, marches, novelties, solo features, and hits from American popular song, musical theater, and film. Preparetion is quick and musical standards are high. Due to increasing interest and demand, we cannot gaurantee membership for everyone who applies. Assignments will be awarded based on participation and seniority in the Atlanta Youth Wind Symphony, past participation in the summer concert bands, and at the discretion of the conductor.
